Welcome to the Prudence Conservancy Web! The Prudence Conservancy has been preserving the unique character and beauty of Prudence Island since 1987. Today we have helped to preserve over 800 acres of land on Prudence Island for current and future generations to enjoy.

We invite you to be a part of the Prudence Conservancy and to share in our goal of keeping Prudence Island special.

What's New

Prudence Conservancy celebrated 25 years in 2012!

Trail Gang: The Trail Gang completed the Ballard Trail and installed a new master trail sign at Baker Farm. A new trail has also been created to connect the Blind Allin Parcel and Pulpit Rock. The Trail Gang crews were very busy clearing trails due to the storms that toppled numerous trees.  All of the trails our now clear and are looking great!

Farnham Farm:
Activities at Farnham Farm and usage of the Hope Brown Center are at an all-time high.  Gardening in the community gardens and the blueberry patch ensure everyone enjoys their time on Prudence. The orchard is expanding with a variety of new fruit trees.

Green Point Reserve/Prudence Park Drainage Improvements
:  Site Engineering, Inc. has been contracted to complete an engineering study, survey plans and a CRMC application to improve the drainage within the Green Point Reserve. The action was necessary to preserve the seawall that has been damaged by poor drainage from the Green Point Reserve.
